PREPARATION

Captain Morgan Black Rum is aged to obtain that heavenly oak finish, before being blended according to its own secret recipe. However, we know that the production process involves the joining of sugar cane, in the form of molasses, water, malt and yeast and distillation in a continuous still. It is then aged for up to 12 months in oak barrels previously used for bourbon and previously charred. Caribbean spices are later added, which give this rum its distinctive flavor. To create the smooth flavor that Captain Morgan is known for around the world, the finest Caribbean rums are carefully blended, made from sugar cane molasses fermented with yeast and water and distilled in column stills, and aged in charred white oak barrels.

TASTING

View: Dark amber color.

Nose: Aromas of vanilla accompanied by strong notes of molasses, dark caramel and dark licorice.

Mouth: Smooth, rich, oaky flavor, intense and deep, with a barrel-smoked finish.
