Real de Asúa 2018 was born in 1994 as a tribute to the founders of the winery, the brothers Eusebio and Raimundo Real de Asúa. It is a complex Rioja in which the black licorice typical of Tempranillo, black fruits and floral notes of violet usually stand out, but also the toasted notes from its aging in French oak barrels. Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: 100% Tempranillo.
The grapes for the production of Real de Asúa 2018 come from the best vineyards of the Carromaza estate in Villalba, a municipality of Rioja Alta located 600m away. of altitude. The harvest date was determined with periodic analyzes and tastings of the grapes, indicators of the optimal state of ripeness. After careful selection in the vineyard and in the winery, the grapes were transferred to French oak vats where alcoholic fermentation took place. The devatting took place in new French oak barrels where malolactic fermentation and subsequent aging took place for 18 months.
TASTING
View: Cherry cherry color.
Nose: Complex with fruity aromas mixed with floral aromas of violets and licorice.
Mouth: In the mouth it has a passage marked by a youthful tannin that leaves a soft astringency. It is meaty and unctuous with a touch of final acidity that gives it length, making the retronasal fruity and fresh.
Recommended temperature: 18ºC.
