Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: 100% Tempranillo.
To make Protos Reserva a manual harvest is carried out. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, with temperature control between 26º/28ºC. Maceration for 21 days, with several daily pumping overs. It is aged for 18 months in American and French barrels. 50% new French oak barrels, 30% one-year-old French barrels, 20% one-year-old American barrels. The wine remained in the bottle for 24 months.
TASTING
View:
Dark cherry red color, with garnet highlights.
Nose:
Intense, black fruit, licorice, light toast, vanilla, spices, mineral and balsamic tones.
Mouth:
Good acidity, with great fruit-wood balance and a persistent and harmonious finish. Service temperature: between 15-16ºC.
