Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: 100% Tempranillo.
Protos Gran Reserva 2015 is made with 100% Tempranillo from very old vines, more than 60 years old. Strains that give low yields of concentrated grapes, ideal for producing long-aged wines like this one. Manual harvest in 20 kg boxes. Once in the winery, the fruits pass through the selection table. Maceration with skins and fermentation for 28 days at 28º C. Finally, the wine was aged for 24 months in French (80%) and American (20%) oak and 36 more months in the bottle.
TASTING
View:
It has a dark, intense and bright cherry red color, with a garnet rim.
Nose:
Expressive, powerful and elegant. It has aromas of roasted coffee, dark chocolate and caramelized fruit.
Mouth:
Meaty, powerful and spicy with a long and silky finish.
Service temperature: Between 17º and 18ºC.
