A pioneer in Ribera del Duero and today located in the elite, Bodegas Protos is one of the most important wineries in the history of Spanish wine. Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: 100% Tempranillo.
Protos Crianza 2019 is nourished by Tempranillo from plots on south-facing slopes, where the grapes receive the hours of sun necessary for optimal ripening. They are old vines, between 30 and 35 years old. After alcoholic fermentation at low temperature, malolactic fermentation takes place (part of the wine is made in French oak). And finally it is aged for 12 months in French and American oak barrels.
TASTING
View:
Cherry red color with youthful purple flashes.
Nose:
Intense with a dominance of red and black fruits well combined with the wood. Aromas of sweet and soft toasted spices.
Mouth:
It is an enveloping, tasty, balanced wine, with finesse and pleasant maturity. Finish in the mouth with hints of ripe fruit. Service temperature: Between 16º and 17ºC.
