PREPARATION

Grapes: 92% Tinto Fino, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Merlot.

Pago de Carraovejas 2020 is the most honest reflection of the valley to which it owes its name. A vineyard that scales the environment, drawing a unique landscape. Plots that are arranged between slopes and moors reaching 900 meters of altitude. The austere soils of Tertiary geology combine limestone marls, clays and sandstones, providing the terroir with unique properties. Its slopes facing south and north, each with its natural wealth, draw the profile of the Carraovejas valley. The harvest is manual, in 15 kg boxes. The grapes were harvested by hand after a first selection of clusters in the vineyard itself. Subsequently, in the winery, a double selection was carried out: of clusters and of berries. Gravity production of the must allows maximum respect for the raw material. During the fermentation process, native yeasts from the winery's estate were used. The wine was matured in French and American oak barrels for 12 months. For greater protection, the wine contains sulfites. The entire process was marked by precision and care in every detail. It was finally fined with natural egg white and bottled in spring 2022.

Intense cherry color.  

Nose:

Round and vibrant. Floral nuances accompany the fruit.  

Mouth:

Marked by its elegance, intensity and structure. It shows balance and a fresh character, with volume and, at the same time, agile.
