Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: 45% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Grenache.
The wine Obergo Expression Tinto 2016 is aged for 8 months in new French and American oak barrels. The vineyard descends the mountainside where old vines enjoy a perfect habitat in the midst of silence only broken by the singing of birds. The altitude of the vineyard is more than 650 meters. Bodegas Obergo works only with its own vineyards. They keep track and supervise each plot one by one. The winery's oldest vineyard was planted in the early 1930s. They produce with very low yields, so most of the wines are limited production. At Bodegas Obergo they take care of the vineyard's own ecosystem, using stainless steel tanks, clay amphorae and new barrels from prestigious cooperages to age exclusive wines in which the grapes and respect for the vineyard and its landscape take precedence.
TASTING
View:
Intense red with garnet nuances.
Nose:
Complex, fruity, spicy and mineral aromas. Black fruit, pepper, cloves and pencil tip.
Mouth:
Round, voluminous, with ripe tannin.
