At the end of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th century in the region ofl’Horta Nordand its surroundings there were two major agricultural holdings. The first, which still remains in the landscape today, was the orange and the other the grape. The Plà Distillery acquired most of that grape production to make muscatel. From those first years they still keep barrels in the cellar of those that currently produce the Mistela Plà with a very special flavor and body.
