Rioja, Marqués de Cáceres Reserva is a wine of harmonious complexity and aromatic intensity that invites a very pleasant tasting. A complete reinterpretation of a wine located within the category of classics of the region. Ideal with tasty fish prepared in a slightly spicy tomato sauce, with Iberian meats and roasted, stewed or grilled meats. It forms a classic pairing with cured and semi-cured cheeses. Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: 96% Tempranillo, 4% Others
All Marqués de Cáceres vineyards are located in the heart of the Rioja Alavesa at an altitude of between 400 and 650 meters above sea level. Plots of mainly clayey-calcareous soil that have planted vines ranging from 35 to 85 years old. The harvest is manual, plot by plot. Once in the winery, the clusters are crushed and destemmed. Alcoholic fermentation takes place at a maximum constant temperature of 28ºC. It is macerated for 30 days with its own skins. Malolactic fermentation takes place, partly in new French oak barrels, and partly in stainless steel tanks. The wine ages for 26 months in French oak barrels.
TASTING
View: It looks a cherry red color very well covered with a layer.
Nose:
The nose is expressive, fine and elegant. The aromas of red and black fruits stand out along with floral notes (violet); as well as sensations of pastry, Juanola and bonbon.
Mouth:
In the taste phase it appears to be a well-constituted wine, with great balance, aromatic, tasty and fresh. It develops fine tannins and exhibits a finish of good persistence, in which floral, balsamic and aromatic herb memories can be appreciated. Recommended temperature: 17ºC.
