Juan Gil Silver Label 2020 75cl.

Juan Gil Label Plata 2020 is an organic red wine, formerly known as Juan Gil 12 months, which stands out for its sweetness and spicy and smoky notes that leave a pleasant long finish. An intense wine to the eye, in the mouth and on the nose. Combine the maturity of Murcian wines with the elegance and elegance of good French wines. The grapes used to obtain this wine come from old, organically grown vineyards. The limestone and stony soils, very poor in nutrients, are ideal for growing the Monastrell variety with a low yield. Since 2018 it has had the official ecological seal of the European Union.

Description

Winemaking

Grapes: 100% Monastrell.

The grapes used to make the Juan Gil Label Plata 2020 wine come from old vineyards with vines that are more than 50 years old. The limestone and stony soils, very poor in nutrients, are ideal for growing the Monastrell variety with a low yield. Malolactic fermentation and maceration takes place in stainless steel tanks with a controlled temperature. And its aging lasts approximately 12 months in French oak barrels. Once this time has passed, the wine rests in stainless steel tanks for a while before being bottled. Bodegas Juan Gil dates back to 1916, the year in which Juan Gil Gimenez, great-grandfather of the current generation, entered the world of wine by building a small winery that was then located in the center of the city of Jumilla. His son, Juan Gil Guerrero, dedicated his entire life to this sector, but it was the third generation who consolidated the Juan Gil Winery, forging an image of quality, seriousness and efficiency.
