Isle of Jura Superstition is a whiskey tribute to superstitions, as a nod to the islanders, who were very superstitious in the past, and to the Isle of Jura, still dotted with ancient stones and marks, a remote island off the west coast of Scotland, in whose distillery this whiskey is handcrafted. Its bottle has the Ankh cross as its symbol, which brings good luck to all those who have it close. When you raise a glass of this whiskey, you will be toasting the ancient customs of our island.

Description
PREPARATION
Jura whiskey is made with barley, yeast and pure water, coming from the top of the highest mountain range on the island, the Paps del Jura. Water, or sometimes snow, seeps down the mountain range and into Market Loch below, 1,000 feet above sea level. This water reaches the distillery through streams and waterfalls to help shape the exclusive Single Malt. The distillation is carried out in some of the highest stills of all the distilleries on the islands, in order to obtain the purest alcohol possible. Isle of Jura Superstition makes a clear reference to superstition, and it has a lot to do with how this whiskey is made: from never cutting the peat until May, to building straw haystacks to the right, these are ways of making that are passed down between generations. This whiskey ages in a series of the most delicate ex-Bourbon barrels, which give it subtle spicy and smoky notes.
TASTING
View: Intense mahogany color with shimmering golden reflections.
Nose: Light phenolic aromas with subtle notes of honey and spices result in a delight that is as sweet as it is smoky.
Mouth: Slightly smoky, with young herbal notes and a silky sensation. The heat of the tongue releases spices, honey, pine and peat.
