Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Duval-Leroy Rosé Prestige Premier Cru is made in the traditional way with the bleeding technique and subsequent mixing with grapes from the Côte des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims. The must is transferred by tanker trucks to the winery to begin the winemaking process. The pressing is carried out in pneumatic presses and the first fermentation at a constant temperature of between 16 to 20°C in stainless steel tanks. In its blend there are grapes from around 15 Crus and a generous amount of reserve wines. Maison Duval-Leroy was created by the partnership of Armand Leroy and Jules Duval. Today the house cultivates 200 hectares planted mainly with Chardonnay grapes in plots classified as Grand Cru or Premier Cru at the top of the Crus scale created in 1911. This Maison based in Vertus in Champagne is currently managed by the sixth generation.
