Cune Crianza 2021 75cl.
Cune Crianza is an assamblage Rioja that reflects its own style and that CVNE produces every year. Initially it was made in the style of the "claret" of the Médoc Bordeaux, but it evolved to become the Crianza de la Casa, previously known as "Third Year". The result is a red wine suitable for vegans with aromatic notes of red fruits and licorice and a round, long and fruity palate, the ideal companion for the Mediterranean diet. The first wine that the Northern Spain Wine Company produced was named after his initials, but a simple and happy spelling mistake between the U and the V created the iconic Cune brand. Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: 85% Tempranillo, 15% Garnacha Tinta and Mazuelo.
The grapes used in the production of Cune Crianza wine come from different places with a diversity of soils, orientations, conduction systems and ages. Fermentation was carried out in a stainless steel tank at a controlled temperature of 25-27ºC, in order to preserve the fruit that characterizes this wine. Daily pumping over and two delestages were carried out during maceration. After vatting for 12 days, the press was separated and malolactic fermentation took place in tank. It was aged for 1 year in American oak barrels, a period in which it acquired the aromatic balance that characterizes it and its finesse and expression. The 2019 harvest was marked by drought and frost that affected much of western Europe. But, although scarce, the grapes were of great quality, with wines with great aging potential. The harvest began in September and ended in October.
