Description
PREPARATION
Delpech Fougerat It is distilled with lees in traditional stills, exclusive to the Charente. The grapes come from the Les Brûleries Modernes vineyards that extend to one hundred hectares around the “terroirs” of Petite Champagne and Fins Bois. Its distilling heritage dates back to the 15th century, when the first producers used a Charentais still to make the first versions of spirit. Delpech Fougerat XO is aged for a minimum of 10 years in oak barrels, but the magic also happens in the swan neck of the Charentais still. This is where the true aromatic quality of a cognac develops.
TASTING
View: Brilliant with sublime touches of copper and amber.
Nose: The nose is fruity and aromas of walnut, grape, candied orange and prune stand out.
Mouth: In the mouth, spicy notes of pepper and vanilla are revealed, along with aromas of coffee and leather. Finally, we find a balanced, persistent and long aftertaste.
