PREPARATION

Grapes: 61% Merlot, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot. The Château La Tour de Mons vineyard is a large, ancient vineyard in the Margaux appellation that has become, since 1995, the property of Crédit Agricole and the Caisse des Dépôts du Québec. The vineyard was restructured, a batch of 8-hectare plots were planted and the cellars and vats were renovated. The grape varieties are mainly Merlot (almost half of the area) and Cabernet Sauvignon. Today, Château La Tour de Mons continues its progression and produces wines of magnificent regularity. Its cultivation method is double guyot pruning, splitting, leaf removal, green harvesting, confusion of vineyards. After a thorough selection in the winery, the grapes are placed in stainless steel tanks with a capacity adapted to the plot. Vinification is slow and takes place at low temperatures. The wines are aged for 12 months in barrels (including 10% new wood).

Nose:

Refined nose lets us discover notes of gourmet fruits, spices and toasted notes.  

Mouth:

In the mouth, the balance between elegance and power is perfect. The tannic structure is tight, fleshy and tasty.   Service temperature is 16-19ºC.
