Description
PREPARATION
The Independencia brandy is obtained from holandas (spirits from selected unaged wines distilled in stills) which are aged in American oak barrels.
The name of this brandy reminds us of the French occupation of a good part of Spain by Napoleon's armies. The city of Jerez was occupied by the Napoleonic army for almost three years, between 1810 and 1812. At this time, the Osborne wineries already existed and continued their work. The subtle image on the bottle label is a tribute to the moment and is inspired by a painting of a battle of the time, made by the Valencian artist Joaquín Sorolla.
TASTING
View:
Dark mahogany color with a subtle shine and transparency.
Nose:
Very clean and distinguished aroma, in which notes of prune stand out with nuances of aging in oak.
Mouth:
Broad, deep and balanced flavor.
