Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir.
Besserat de Bellefon Bleu Brut is a cuvée resulting from the unique and very specific Champagne production method that has been perpetuated by Besserat de Bellefon since 1930, made with grapes from the best towns in the D.O. Champagne. It consists of adding less “liquor de tiraje” (a mixture of sugar, yeast and must) at the time of bottling, which creates a lighter and more transparent effervescence formation. The mousse is soft, creamy and persistent. A distinctive feature of this Bleu Brut is the absence of malolactic fermentation. The wines with which it is made are 30% Solera and are aged for 3 years on the lees, spending a minimum of 6 months from disgorging.
