Description
PREPARATION
The Armagnac Saint-Vivant VS is made with Ugni Blanc, Folle Blanche, Baco grape varieties grown in Bas Armagnac. The grapes are fermented and distilled in a traditional copper still, and then aged for a year in oak barrels, where it develops notes of white flowers.
In order to preserve all the character of the local Armagnac tradition, Saint-Vivant carries out its production according to the artisanal methods of Gascony. A tradition that has been preserved since 1559 when Saint-Vivant de la Salle, a noble lord who owned numerous vineyards in Gascogne, accidentally created a new liqueur and was delighted with the result. He named it after his region, Armagnac, and it would become one of the most prestigious spirits in France.
