Description
PREPARATION
anCnoc 12 Years is created using traditional production methods that have been maintained for over 100 years at the Knockdhu distillery. For its production, water from its own springs and original style stills and copper worms are used to condense the vaporized alcohol. Ironically, it is these traditional techniques that help create the distinctive, modern flavor. The whiskey is aged for 12 years in American and Spanish oak barrels, previously used to mature bourbon or sherry. The barrels rest quietly in storage warehouses with thick granite walls that create a stable temperature. The end result is a lighter tasting single malt that does not compromise on quality.
TASTING
View: Light amber color with a slight yellow tinge.
Nose: Soft, very aromatic with a touch of honey and lemon in the foreground.
Mouth: Sweet, it starts with an appetizing fruity flavor and a long, smooth finish. Light but complex, soft but challenging.
