Dimple 15 Years Whiskey got its name from the unique shape of the Dimple bottle. It was also known as Dimple Pinch in the United States and was the drink of choice for James Bond 007 and his CIA Buddy Felix Leitner in the original James Bond books by Ian Fleming in which Bond drove a Bentley instead of an Aston Martin. Haig Dimple is the luxury sibling of Haig Gold aged 15 years and with a much maltier influence including single malts from Glenkinchie and Linkwood in the mix. Presentation: Bottle with case.

PREPARATION
Dimple 15 Years is a blended Scotch whiskey aged for 15 years in old Bourbon oak barrels. Haig Whiskey is the oldest Scotch whiskey of all and may even be the oldest whiskey in the world. Haig Whiskey is steeped in history since it was first distilled by John Haig in Cameronbridge Scotland in 1824. From these humble beginnings, Haig Whiskey quickly became one of the most popular and successful Scotch whiskeys in the world before falling into decline around 30 years ago as it left the Haig family estate and passed through a series of multinational drinks companies. Meanwhile, the original distillery in Cameronbridge went from strength to strength and now, owned by Diageo, is one of the largest distilleries in Europe.
TASTING
View: Golden amber color.
Nose: Aroma of toffee and spices with a light citrus touch. A little water can help open your nose more.
Mouth: Surprisingly harsh at first, but quickly settles into a warm, slightly smoky flavor at the back of the mouth with an underlying caramel sweetness. Fairly short finish of burnt fudge or caramel with a touch of oak in the background.
