PREPARATION
Chivas Ultis is an excellent blend of whiskeys for all the senses. Of the millions of barrels in the Chivas Brothers inventory, Chivas has only chosen 1% for the creation of this new expression, created as a tribute to the 5 legendary Master Blenders of the brand: Charles Howard, Charles Julian, Allan Baillie, Jimmy Lang and the current master blender Colin Scott. They, with their passion and dedication, have helped create the style of this Speyside whiskey since 1909. It is the result of five single malts: Tormore, Longmorn, Strathisla, Allt A'Bhainne and Braeval: The Tormore malt provides citrus notes of orange to the palate. Longmorn malt has a creamy and smooth character with vanilla notes. Strathisla malt is the heart of Blend Chivas, it has a malty fruity charm with a subtle sweetness. Allt A'Bhainne malt gives it a spicy touch, while providing a subtle balance to the blend. And Braeval malt provides complexity, floral aroma, honey, leather and green notes.
TASTING
View: Golden color.
Nose: Aroma of ripe peach and red apple with infusions of cinnamon, fudge and honey.
Mouth: Soft texture of vanilla, clementine mandarin and apricots giving way to an interior of soft caramel, spicy cloves and ginger. Warm heather honey finish.
