PREPARATION
Ballantine's Light is a custom-made creation by the blending team with half the strength of the classic Ballantine's Finest. Behind this seemingly simple result lie years of blending experience, allowing Ballantine's to recreate the same great depth of flavor. Ballantine's was first created in 1827 by George Ballantine, a Scottish businessman who followed his own path in life and was driven to produce the ultimate blended whiskey of the highest quality. Every drop of Ballantine's is produced in Scotland, technically blended and bottled in Dumbarton, using a unique selection of single malt and grain whiskeys from Scotland's four whiskey regions - Speyside, Islay, the Highlands and the Lowlands - carefully chosen by the master blender and brought together to create the ultimate balanced blend.
TASTING
View: Subtle amber gold color.
Nose: Light and fruity aroma; tasty green apples, honey, orange and subtle notes of milk chocolate.
Mouth: Sweet and spicy initial notes of orange zest and pink grapefruit, followed by ripe pear and a hint of hazelnut. Incredibly smooth sweet and citrus finish.
