PREPARATION

Gorbatschow is made according to a traditional recipe from top quality products and, in its effort to achieve the highest purity, it goes through four cold filtrations, for this the distillate is carefully cooled to -12ºC and passes through active carbon filters. After four of these filtering processes, the vodka has achieved its special purity and optimal flavor. During its production it is particularly important to exclude all external odors that could damage the purity of the distillate. Gorbatschow vodka was originally produced in St. Petersburg and was known as an excellent quality vodka. At the beginning of the last century, this vodka was appreciated throughout Russia, even the tsars appreciated its especially pure taste. After the October Revolution Leontovitch Gorbatschow, the owner of the respected vodka distillery that bore his name, was forced to flee his homeland with his family and arrived in Berlin. It was there that, in 1921, he began distilling vodka again following his proven, strictly guarded family recipe.
