Absolut Andy Warhol Edition vodka is an exclusive, worldwide limited edition, a tribute to the renowned visual artist Andy Warhol, considered one of the key figures of the Pop Art movement. It replicates the artist's original painting created for Absolut Warhol in 1986, which became one of the most successful advertising campaigns of the 20th century. After collaborating with dozens of artists and creatives, including Keith Haring, Damien Hirst, Annie Leibovitz, and Spike Jonze, the brand now draws inspiration from the iconic artist and launches this new limited-edition bottle, limited to four million units. PREPARATION
Absolut Andy Warhol Edition is made in southern Sweden, when Lars Olsson Smith introduced continuous distillation and began producing a very pure vodka, called Absolut Rent Brännvin. It was a vodka that had been distilled hundreds of times and was only based on natural ingredients, water and winter wheat from Åhus, the creator's hometown. Although born in 1979 in New York. It is made exclusively from natural ingredients: water and winter wheat. The water comes from a deep well in Åhus, protected against impurities. Winter wheat is distinguished from other crops in that it is planted in the fall and harvested the following fall, meanwhile it grows under the Swedish snow, which develops a hard grain. Additionally, the use of fertilizers is minimal and, unlike many other vodkas, it contains no added sugar. Absolut is, in fact, a vodka of great purity.
TASTING
View: Bright and crystalline.
Nose: Elegant aroma, mountain herbs and cereal notes.
Mouth: It has a rich, full-bodied and complex flavor, but smooth and ripe with the distinctive character of wheat grain, followed by a touch of dried fruits.
