La Madura Blanco 2020 75cl.
The La Madura Blanco 2020 wine is the maximum expression achieved from a Merseguera of old vines, produced by Bodegas Terra D’Art with D.O. Valencia. The vines have been carefully selected from areas where the altitude is around 1,000m. With a production of only 0.5 kilos per vine in sandy soil. The minerality of these sandstone rocks gives the wine highly mineral properties, which, together with aging in special noble wood barrels, assemble a unique, differentiated and characteristic whole.

Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: 100% Merseguera.
To make the La Madura Blanco 2020 wine, the harvest is carried out in 15 kg boxes. Taking advantage of the freshness that dawn confers in the Ahillas Valley. To avoid oxidation, a pre-fermentation maceration is carried out with dry ice for 48 hours. The pressing is very gentle, attempting to extract the aromatic components from the cell walls of the grapes, which are later fermented with native yeasts at a temperature of 12ºC, making a long fermentation. Once the wine has fermented, it is left to age along with its lees for 4 months in very lightly toasted barrels. These barrels are made of special noble wood that are always new for this wine. To finish, the wine rests in the winery's cellar for a period of 8 months to complete its year of aging.
TASTING
View: Clean and bright, with very few brownish nuances, which may make us doubt that the wine will be aged in barrels.
Nose: Elegant and balsamic expression, with nuances of peach skin, very ripe orange, jasmine and grapefruit, along with a light and pleasant touch of wood very well assembled.
Mouth: Buttery texture, with volume, but without losing the freshness of Merseguera. You can see the perfect blend between the wood and the fruits, which in this case become whiter: like syrupy pears or green apples.
