Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir.
The blend of Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label is made up of grapes from between 50 and 60 different vintages. It blends 30-45% reserve wines with grapes from up to 50 to 60 different Crus. Pinot Noir predominates (50-55%), which provides that structure so typical of Veuve Clicquot, while its Chardonnay (28-33%) provides the essential elegance and delicacy in a perfectly balanced wine and, finally, a touch of Meunier (15-20%) that serves to round out the blend. The long aging in the "Crayères" (minimum of 3 years for the Yellow Label) is what gives Champagne its silkiness.
TASTING
View: Golden yellow color with fine bubbles.
Nose: Intense, fruity aroma (peach, mirabelle, pear), complex notes of vanilla and touches of brioche.
Mouth: Fresh, with a perfect balance between complexity and silkiness.
