The Singleton 15 Years Old is a very well-balanced Scotch whiskey, it is richer, rounder and sweeter than younger expressions. Brewed in American and European oak casks, the result is an easy-to-enjoy single malt with fruity decadence and notes of spicy coriander, hot pepper, honey and creamy caramel. Description
PREPARATION
The Singleton 15 Years Old is matured in a high proportion of American oak barrels with a small portion of European oak barrels to balance the liquid. American oak provides subtle and honeyed touches, with a touch of European oak that offers balanced dryness. Built in 1897, and the seventh of the distilleries, Glendullan lies on the banks of the River Dullen, among the picturesque Convall Hills. Inspired by a passion for making a perfectly balanced, smooth but rich whiskey that is delicious from the first sip.
TASTING
View:
Amber color.
Nose:
Sweet, soft and tempting. Soft at first with hints of spice and sweet wood followed by richer mature notes.
Mouth:
Smooth and slightly sweet with a buttery fruitcake mixture followed by hints of red fruit and vanilla with a dry finish. Smooth finish, with light toasted oak, well balanced, with creamy notes of violet aroma.
