Description
PREPARATION
To make The Macallan Double Cask 15 Years Whiskeytraditional distillation is carried out. This is done in small copper wires. Afterwards, it is aged for a minimum of 15 years in two barrels: American oak and European oak. The American oak gives it nuances of vanilla and caramel and the European oak gives it that unique spicy flavor of The Macallan.
Once the two whiskeys have matured, they are mixed to create the magnificent single malt.
TASTING
View: Golden caramel color.
Nose: The nose contains an aroma of dried fruits, toffee and vanilla with soft oak and roasted apple. Balanced with notes of honey and chocolate.
Mouth: In the mouth it has a flavor of sweet raisins and sultanas with hints of vanilla, wood spices and citrus.
