PREPARATION
The Glenlivet Founders Reserve whiskey is the essence of George Smith, founder of The Glenlivet, as this whiskey has been created using the traditional distillation methods, which George introduced so long ago. The Glenlivet Founder's Reserve is as smooth and fruity as the whiskey that came from the original copper stills. For the distillation process they also use traditional oak barrels in which the whiskey matures and which give each expression its own distinctive characteristics. It combines a selection of aged oak barrels and first-fill American oak barrels. The latter are those that have never before been used to mature whiskey.
TASTING
View:
Pale gold color.
Nose:
Contains citrus aromas, with notes of sweet orange.
Mouth:
Sweet and creamy, flavored with tasty fruits like oranges, pears and caramel apples. The finish is long, creamy and smooth.
