PREPARATION
Gran Patrón Platinum is made by hand using the best 100% blue Weber agave, which matures approximately every 8 years. Expert jimadores try to find and harvest only the Tequilana Weber blue agave that has the ideal sugar content for the production of tequila. The pineapples are cut manually, baked in small brick ovens to ensure even cooking. Then, they are crushed with a volcanic stone baking wheel, which measures two tons, and a cylinder mill. The resulting mixture is fermented for three days, carefully distilled 3 times in small quantities at the Hacienda Patrón distillery in Jalisco, Mexico, and left to rest in oak tanks to achieve a smooth, full-bodied flavor.
