Description
PREPARATION
Patrón Añejo is made by hand using the best 100% blue Weber agave, which matures approximately every 8 years. Expert jimadores try to find and harvest only the Tequilana Weber blue agave that has the ideal sugar content for the production of tequila. The pineapples are cut manually and baked in small brick ovens to ensure even cooking. Then, they are crushed with a volcanic stone baking wheel, which measures two tons, and a cylinder mill. The resulting mixture is fermented for three days, carefully distilled in small quantities at the Hacienda Patrón distillery in Jalisco, Mexico. It is then aged using a combination of French oak, Hungarian oak and used American whiskey barrels for over 12 months to achieve a perfect tequila of aged flavours.
TASTING

Warm amber color.
Nose:
Aromas of oak, vanilla and raisins.
Mouth:
Oak wood flavor with notes of vanilla, raisins and honey. In the finish, smoky caramel notes predominate.
