Description
PREPARATION
José Cuervo Tradicional Reposado is made from blue agave pineapples, which develop for 8-10 years. Thanks to this long period of natural maturation, the agaves develop an intensely natural flavor with the plant's own sugars. The pineapples are simmered to extract them for 6-12 hours. They are then pressed in a traditional way and distilled twice in authentic copper stills, obtaining 700 ml of bottled culture and tradition, after letting it rest in white American oak barrels for a minimum of 2 months, which gives it the soft and subtle complexity that aficionados seek.
The story of José Cuervo begins in 1758, the year the King of Spain granted José Maria Guadalupe de Cuervo a plot of land in Jalisco, in order to cultivate and harvest the blue agave plant. This unique event marked the birth of tequila. The company remains family owned after more than 250 years, and is currently run by the 10th generation of the Cuervo family.
