PREPARATION
Talisker Dark Storm whiskey comes from the Isle of Skye, one of the most remote, rugged and beautiful places in Scotland. Few whiskeys are able to transport us to their origins like Dark Storm does, a whiskey with the strong character of the distillery aged for 2 years in charred oak barrels, which give it an intensely smoky flavor. In fact, it is the smokiest Talisker to date, it is soft, vibrant and sweet, with a powerful inclination to fruits and the smoky touch of its condensation, with a warm finish, perfect for keeping the cold of the environment at bay. It is delicious to smell the sweet aroma that emanates from the bottle once opened, mixed with salty tones that represent the whiskey.
In 1830, the MacAskill brothers rowed across the Atlantic Ocean from the Isle of Eigg to establish the Talisker distillery on the Isle of Skye, Scotland. For almost 200 years, this small but mighty island has been at the heart of Talisker whiskey, calling all adventurous souls to experience the euphoria of the elements of nature.
TASTING
View:
Deep amber color.
Nose:
Saline and smoky notes, as if evoking the sea-washed rocks of his homeland, combined with notes of aromatic spices and oak.
Mouth:
Extremely soft and sweet, with an intense and vibrant combination of fresh fruits, black currants and licorice, which little by little gives way to a storm of rich smoky flavors. Warm, persistent and very smoky finish.
