Description
PREPARATION
The creation of Zacapa Black Edition rum was inspired by traditional Mayan rituals by master blender Lorena Vázquez, who developed the brand's Solera aging system. From the sugar cane to the aging system at the House Above the Clouds, 2,300 meters above sea level, it's all part of the magic. This rum ages in double-toasted American oak barrels that give it a dark color, great smoky intensity, and accentuate the woody and spicy notes of the distillate.
TASTING
View: Deep mahogany color with an intense amber shine.
Nose: Aromas of caramelized fruits, plums and raisins with soft smoky notes.
Mouth: A tasty explosion, notes of smoky flavor combined with chocolate and nuts. Bold, with a soft and persistent finish.
