Description
PREPARATION
Saint James Impérial Blanc is made in Sainte-Marie (Martinique) by Saint-James, the oldest brand of Martinican rum and combines the strength of alcohol with a great intensity of aromas while preserving a great purity of flavors. Martinique is the only French overseas department that benefits from an A.O.C. for its rum. This designation obtained in 1996 reflects the unique character of “agricole” rum from Martinique, expressing the close link between production, terroir and generations of skill and knowledge. Saint James rum is produced by fermenting pure cane juice followed by distillation in Creole columns. This method, recognized as A.O.C Martinique rum, gives Saint James rums a multitude of aromas, with subtle fruity bouquets perfectly adapted to aging in oak barrels. No sweetening agents are allowed.
