Description
PREPARATION
Saint James 7 Years is made according to the tradition of agricultural rums from Martinique, which ages in oak barrels for 7 years, becoming enriched with flavor and complexity. Martinique is the only French overseas department that benefits from an A.O.C. for its rum. This designation obtained in 1996 reflects the unique character of “agricole” rum from Martinique, expressing the close link between production, terroir and generations of skill and knowledge. Saint James rum is produced by fermenting pure cane juice followed by distillation in Creole columns. This method, recognized as A.O.C Martinique rum, gives Saint James rums a multitude of aromas, with subtle fruity bouquets perfectly adapted to aging in oak barrels. No sweetening agents are allowed.
