PREPARATION

The Ron Malteco Selección 1986 is made from pure, freshly squeezed sugar cane juice and fermented with a specially cultivated, decades-old strain of yeast, which provides very characteristic ester notes, a method developed by Guatemalan rum masters. Distilled in column stills in 1986, it has been aged for 30 years in select American white oak barrels that previously contained the finest Kentucky bourbon before being bottled in 2016. The Ron Malteco Selecion collection is the "spirit" of Ron Malteco. A strong but elegant selection of rum that combines freedom, adventure, balance and elegance.

TASTING

View: Amber color with copper reflections.

Nose: Aromas of fruit, wood, leather, caramel, nuts and pepper.

Mouth: Smooth, fresh, complex and balanced flavor with bright acidity and a long and persistent finish of fine tannins.
