PREPARATION
Kraken Black Spiced is made with a blend of rums from the Caribbean. It is distilled in Trinidad and Tobago and enriched with an exotic blend of 13 secret spices. The rich black color takes its hue from the mysterious ink with which, according to legend, the Kraken, a squid of epic proportions, covered its prey. To achieve this tone, caramel is added. Legend has it that a ship carrying spiced rum from the Caribbean was attacked by a monstrous Kraken. The beast pushed its enormous tentacles over the ship, plunging the ship and the men on board into impenetrable darkness. All the rum barrels were destroyed except one, which was badly stained by black squid ink. He was nicknamed "The Kraken Rum." It is now known as a liquid of incomparable darkness.
TASTING
View: Dark color.
Nose: Aroma of caramel, toffee and spices.
Mouth: Flavor of cinnamon, vanilla and nutmeg, with a persistent spicy finish.
