PREPARATION
Barceló Imperial Premium Blend is a special blend of the past reserves of Barceló Imperial rum, matured in selected cuts of American oak and French oak barrels. Thirty years dedicated to preserving the quality tradition of Barceló rums. Barceló rum had its origin in 1929, when Julián Barceló arrived in the Dominican Republic with the purpose of making a rum that will go down in history as the best in the world, and it was just a year later, in 1930, when he founded Barceló & Co. In 2016 Ron Barceló becomes the first rum in the world certified as Carbon Neutral, the first distillate and rum in the world to be part of the UN Climate Change initiative, Climate Neutral Now.
TASTING
View: Intense coppery brown color.
Nose: Aroma of mocha coffee, melted caramel, exquisite dried spices, dried cherries and honeyed raisins.
Mouth: Smooth entry with a semi-dry but fruity body of great depth and evolutions of layers of nuts with spices, creme brulee and notes of dried fruits. Finishes with a long flavor of pepper leaf and elegant tobacco. A delicious rich aged rum, ready to enjoy sip by sip.
