Description
PREPARATION
Grapes: 100% Tempranillo
It is made only with Tempranillo from old vines (40 years old) in dry land, cultivated in the heart of Cenicero (Rioja Alta), specifically in the “El Monte” area, where ecological and sustainable viticulture is applied. Monte Real de Familia Reserva 2019 is born from plots at an altitude of between 430 and 530 m, close to the Ebro River, with great thermal amplitude and abundant luminosity. The shallow clay-calcareous soils, with pebbles on the surface, favor good drainage and the obtaining of a Tempranillo with excellent characteristics. The grapes are harvested by hand according to a rigorous parcel selection; Then another selection is carried out at the time of harvesting the clusters. After a classic production, the wine was transferred to barrels where it completed a 24-month aging in French and American oak, followed by a minimum stay of 12 months refining in the bottle.
TASTING
View: Intense cherry red color.
Nose:
It gives off clean and powerful aromas on the nose.
Mouth:
Broad structure in the mouth, tasty, full-bodied. Recommended temperature: 17ºC.
