On February 1, 1968, the first stone of the current Antioquia Liquor Factory was laid, during the mandate of Dr. Octavio Arizmendi Posada, on land purchased by Governor Mario Aramburo. Dr. Fabio Ortega Arbeláez was one of the main promoters of the plant. The optimal planning of the factory construction is due to its dynamism and futuristic vision. Construction was completed in 1970 and on April 13 of the same year the new plant was inaugurated. At the national level, the Antioquia Liquor Factory is considered the first liquor store in the country. Its production systems, the quality of its products, the sound administrative criteria of its governing bodies and its sales volume have made it the leader of the industries in this field in Colombia.

PREPARATION
Ron Medellín 12 Years Gran Reserva is one of the few rums that is aged naturally, resting in Quercus Alba oak barrels, at 1500 meters of altitude and in perfect conditions for maturation. Ron Medellín 12 Years Gran Reserva is made with the best virgin honeys, coming from the most select valleys in the region and is mixed with the finest and oldest rums, reserved since 1979. Once the ingredients are selected, Ron Medellín rests in wineries, with the highest technology, for 12 years, to be released with the highest degree of purity without the need for sugars or artificial flavorings.TASTING
