Description
Winemaking
The blend of Martell VSOP Médaillon cognac is the result of a perfect balance between the old spirits of the four best vintages of the Cognac region in a perfect harmony of delicious fruit and refined wood nuances. It is aged for a minimum of 4 years in French oak barrels. The barrels, made from fine grain oak, have already been used to age spirits and have reached the perfect state of maturity before being selected for this cognac. Martell VSOP perfectly highlights Martell's unique aging style.
The history of Martell Cognac dates back to 1715, when Jean Martell, a young merchant from Jersey, founded his own trading company at Gatebourse in Cognac. On the banks of the Charente River, his great house still stands, a global icon of cognac that continues to innovate and evolve with the times.
