Description
PREPARATION
The Macallan Triple Cask Matured (Fine Oak) 18 Years is part of a series of single malt whiskeys made in a combination of three barrels: European and American oak barrels that have previously held Sherry and American oak barrels that previously contained Bourbon. This trinity of spirits is exquisitely and expertly melted to produce an exotic single malt with flavors of orange, velvety cocoa and wood-borne spice, characterized by the smooth, delicate and complex character of the entire range. In addition, the eighteen years of maturation give it the greatest depth of flavor with intense notes of orange, velvety cocoa and spices transmitted by the wood, as well as a natural light amber color. Once the barrels are filled, the spirit ages undisturbed in the same barrels for the 18 years necessary for it to be worthy of the Macallan expression for which it is intended.
TASTING
View:
Light amber color.
Nose:
Aroma of dried and exotic petals with coconut and orange citrus with vanilla.
Mouth:
Smooth and velvety with orange citrus, vanilla, nutmeg and cinnamon. Persistent finish with orange chocolate and a touch of smoky wood.
