Description
PREPARATION
House Lannister Lagavulin 9 Years is made traditionally in small copper stills and aged slowly in ex-Bourbon barrels.
Lagavulin is said to be one of the oldest distilleries on Islay, originally consisting of 10 small illicit distilleries in 1742. It would be another 74 years until it was legally established as a distillery, when in 1816 local farmer and distiller John Johnston converted the buildings into a legal distillery within sight of Dunyvaig Castle and named it Lagavulin.
