Description
PREPARATION
Kura Pure Malt is made with different malt whiskeys in the southernmost region of Japan. It is the result of careful aging for 12 years that begins in American oak barrels and ends in Japanese rum barrels.
Kura Pure Malt belongs to the Helios distillery in Japan, Okinawa. At first this distillery was best known for producing rums and awamori (a type of rice-based drink that is only produced in Okinawa), but has now also entered the world of whiskey.
TASTING
View:
Amber color with golden reflections.
Nose:
Aroma of toasted oak with a touch of moss, creamy lemon and soft malt.
Mouth:
Characteristic flavor of brown sugar, burnt oak again (now with an earthy touch), lime jam, rye bread and a hint of sour grape.
