PREPARATION

Jim Beveridge, master blender at Johnnie Walker, believes that the creation of this exclusive expression of travel retail has given them the opportunity to produce a rare blend created with great malts. This has been possible because they have allowed one of the whiskeys in the blend, a Caol Ila, to have more influence on the final blend. The smoky and maritime characteristics of Caol Ila have been balanced with fruity Highland malts such as Clynelish, some Lowland such as Glenkinchie, and the smooth character of Speyside from Cardhu. The simplest way to enjoy your whiskey is neat, cleansing your palate with cold water between sips. Many people also add water to their whiskey, which releases flavors as the liquids mix. Try it, but too much water can damage a whiskey and dull its layers of flavor.

Nose:

Aromas of saltwater and fresh black pepper mingle with tropical notes of sweet vanilla, toffee, and earthy sandalwood.  

Mouth:

This spectacular whiskey features a unique range and depth of flavor, with body and warm spices. It expertly balances the distinctive sweetness of the fruit with the robustness of the smoke. Johnnie Walker Island Green finishes with a complex, lingering finish that combines smooth, tempered peat smoke with sweet orchard fruit flavors.
