Description
PREPARATION
Johnnie Walker Double Black was created by Master Blender Jim Beveridge as a darker, smokier version of the world famous Johnnie Walker Black Label. The blend is matured in charred barrels and uses a higher proportion of potent West Coast and Island whiskeys to elevate the iconic flavors to a new level of intensity. Created using only whiskeys aged a minimum of 12 years from the four corners of Scotland.
TASTING
View: Dark amber color.
Nose: Smoky notes with hints of vanilla, citrus and malt.
Mouth: Intense, powerful, full-bodied and smoky, notes of raisins and fruits (apples, pears and citrus). These develop into sweet vanillas and spices, before finishing in warm, lingering woodsy notes of oak and smoke.
