PREPARATION
Hellyers Road Pinot Noir whiskey is produced with local malt, aged in American oak (ex-Bourbon) and finished for a further six months in premium French oak (ex-Pinot Noir from an award-winning local winery) to provide a tantalizing point of difference for single malt lovers. Hellyers Road Distillery is located in Burnie, northern Tasmania. It was founded in the late 1990s with a passion for whiskey shared by the owner of a dairy cooperative (Betta Milk), a group of dairy farmers and a professional distiller. They produce a variety of highly recognized and unique award-winning peated whiskey styles worldwide. It has become the best-selling Australian whiskey.
TASTING
View:
Reddish copper color.
Nose:
She is immediately drawn to citrus, lemon and summer orange.
Mouth:
Fresh, with a sweet and smooth layer of pepper and spices. We also find notes of caramel and vanilla, with a light touch of lemon peel. Long finish.
