Glenmorangie The Duthac 1L.

Glenmorangie The Duthac single malt whiskey belongs to the range of Glenmorangie expressions originally launched for the travel retail market. Its name comes from St. Duthac, the patron saint of the town of Thain, the distillery's birthplace, whose resting place lies in the center of the Royal Burgh of Tain, Ross-shire, in the far north of Scotland, where the Glenmorangie Distillery has stood proudly since 1843. This is a whiskey fit for a King, as this expression pays tribute to the annual pilgrimage made by King James IV to the shrine of St Duthac in Tain, and is part of Glenmorangie Legends, a collection of single malt whiskeys exclusive to Travel Retail, inspired by the legendary lands. PREPARATION

Glenmorangie The Duthac is a blend of whiskeys partially aged in Pedro Ximénez Spanish sherry casks, finishing in highly toasted new oak casks, before being filtered and cold bottled. Glenmorangie has been making single malt whiskey since 1843, when farmer William Matheson and his wife Anne followed their dreams and founded their distillery. The copper stills in which they distill their spirit feature necks as high as a giraffe, creating more space for flavor and aroma. Its water is unusually rich in minerals, to help make the whiskey taste so wonderfully fruity. To keep this water pure, they own and protect the entire forest surrounding its source, the Tarlogie Spring. And they use the best barrels to age their spirit, sourced from all over, often even customized to your specifications to create a distinctive flavor profile.
