Glenmorangie Spios is a limited edition single malt from Glenmorangie's Private Edition collection. For the creation of this whiskey, according to the distillery, they were inspired by the golden age of rye, at the beginning of the 20th century. Spios in Gaelic means “spice” and is a whiskey with a spicy character, which obtains its flavor power thanks to its aging process in rye barrels. Presentation: Bottle with case.

Winemaking
Dr. Bill Lumsden, director of distillation and creation of Glenmorangie, to make Glenmorangie Spios opted for a whiskey with notes of cinnamon and rye cloves. For this, an aging process was carried out in rye barrels.
Glenmorangie has been making single malt whiskey since 1843, when farmer William Matheson and his wife Anne followed their dreams and founded their distillery. Its water is unusually rich in minerals, to help make the whiskey taste so wonderfully fruity. To keep this water pure, they own and protect the entire forest surrounding its source, the Tarlogie Spring. And they use the best barrels to age their spirit, sourced from all over, often even customized to your specifications to create a distinctive flavor profile.

Bright golden amber color.
Nose:
It is fresh, with notes of herbs, cherries, cloves, mint and with light fruity touches and the freshness of mint.
Mouth:
Spicy and full-bodied texture on the palate, with great flavors of caramel, cinnamon, walnut and vanilla. Pleasant, sweet and persistent finish with citrus, toffee and nutty notes.
